At the Children’s Islamic Library we had a session about Super Power Taqwa and the Ramadan Good Deeds Rainbow. The kids were asked to dress as superheroes and we read the book called Too Young To Fast by Khizar Husain
In this month of Ramadhan, we are all guests of Allah, we get to have a very special power called Taqwa. Taqwa can be attained in two ways:
Not doing bad deeds:
Kids who can’t fast because they’re too young, are Allah’s Superheroes who fast with their bodies
We made Superhero wrist and ankle cuffs and a mask. These will help remind us that we need to fast with our eyes, mouths, ears, arms and legs.

We sang the famous Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes but with a powerful line opening verse ‘We fast with our: Head Shoulders Knees & Toes…”
Doing lots of good deeds
This is where the Ramadan Rainbow comes in! To cloud ourselves with Taqwa, we must do lots of good deeds (represented as a rainbow) so that we achieve the pot of gold in Jannah inshA!
