Laylatul Qadr – P.Musa’s Conversation with Allah

P.Musa’s absolutely beautiful conversation with Allah SWT inspired us to prepare some treats and a matching activity (link below for details)

“Prophet Musa (AS) addressed the Almighty (SWT) saying: “Oh Allah, I desire to be near to You!”
Allah SWT replied saying “Whoever desires nearness to Me is one who remains awake durig Laylatul Qadr, doing Ibaadah”

Prophet Musa (AS) continued: “Oh Allah, I wish to earn Your Mercy!”
Allah SWT replied: “My Mercy is granted to anyone who is Merciful to the underprivileged during Laylatul Qadr”

Prophet Musa (AS) further said: “Oh Allah, I wish to pass on the Right Path”
Allah SWT commanded: “This is granted to anyone who gives Sadaqa during Laylatul Qadr”

Prophet Musa (AS) said: “Oh Allah, I wish to enjoy the trees and fruits of Jannah!” to which Allah SWT replied and said: “This is granted to anyone who Praises ME during Laylatul Qadr”

Prophet Musa (AS) said: “Oh Allah, I wish to achieve salvation from the fire!”
Allah SWT replied: “This is granted to anyone who seeks forgiveness during Laylatul Qadr”

Prophet Musa (AS) concluded his pleas, and said: “Oh Allah, I wish to achieve Your pleasure!”
Allah SWT replied and said: ”I shall be pleased with anyone who prays two Mustahab raka’ats Salaa during Laylatul Qadr”

Here’s what I prepared for the kids to keep busy and hopefully remember these wonderful acts – little pressies and a matching activity to download

They had to find the pressies with some clues and check that these were their pressies if they had the ‘Blue’ tape representing the ‘Night’ of Qadr

Clue 1: This can be built and if you stay up all night playing with it, you may be able to have this near Allah in Jannah Pressie 1: A doll house to play with. Can you draw what you want your house to look like in Jannah?

Clue 2: Allah has made everyone different like a rainbow, some have more than others, just like in the rainbow some colours are stronger than others
Pressie: Rainbow drops – Can you think of 7 things you can share with those who have less than you?

Clue 3:

Clue 4: These are made of real fruits and taste yummy but not as yummy as those you’ll enjoy in Jannah
Pressie: Fruit hard candies – What fruits do you want to eat in Jannah? How many ‘Alhamdulillah’s’ can you say in your head until you’ve sucked all the candy?

Clue 5: This smells soo good just like our hearts will when they’ve cleaned out with Astaghfirullah!
How many ‘Astaghfirullah’s’ can you manage until all three wicks are lighted?
Pressie: Scented candle

Clue 6: This is round and has a smiley face! But you can only play with this when you’ve recited 2 Rakaat Salaah
Pressie: A smiley ball
